The daylilies do not mind the humidity and heatwave. I was sure to mulch the row early on so the roots are staying nice and cool. Rainbow Rhythm® 'Ruby Spider' Daylily that was planted in 2021 in this area. The steam is over 2 feet tall with gigantic, ruby red blossoms measure up to 9” across. I absolutely love these plants! #heatwaves #gardening #gardentips #ohio

I made sure mama kitty was eating well. Sometimes I gave her tuna fish. The kittens weee nursing on her and always had purina kitten chow .
ive got 500 seeds coming! i want to collect enough dried leaves to make oil 😀
Good luck! Tell me how those grow for you.
Pretty sure the Truly Tiny is just smaller variety of Cavendish. I believe that's why your Cavendish looks like the Truly Tiny. They are both Musa varieties.
Omg I'm glad I ran into this video! I randomly saw this plant at Home Depot and grabbed it cause it looked interesting. You've made me so happy I did, i can't wait for my first one now ☺
❤ I’ve had a few folks asking for this variety and haven’t been able to find it. Thank you for sharing where to get these. I am on my way to our local Home Depot to see if they have it!🎉
@@BrenHaas of course! It was the Burpee brand if that helps as well
Hay can u do a video of when to harvest pot a peno peppers an tomatoes plant an cucumber plant an strawberries plants plz an thank you
This killed both of my nana’s giant holly’s :(
Not enough flowers
I had no idea it was a perennial shrub when I planted it two years ago. I was shocked last summer (2023) when it made it through a very cold winter in the black hills of South Dakota. And I am so amazed this year at how beautifully it has shaped itself and has large buds for flowers. My honeybees will be so happy when it finally blooms in a week or so. I have it smack dab in the middle of my veggie garden so it can welcome all the newcomers (annuals) every year. Your video is very lovely. I too hope others will establish a Salvia Officinalis in the garden as well.
This was the coolest thing ever to see... I hope the other pup blooms as well! STAY TUNED @brenhaas
Can’t wait to grow them
You are going to love these!!!
That tomatoe need to be a a LOT bigger before it makes flowers, and depending if its determinate or indertimande it might grow up to 8 feet tall in a trellis! Good luck!
It already produced tiny tomatoes in my Aerogarden. At only 12 inches tall. I moved it out to soil to see if more will produce.
Looks great!
Thanks!
HI Bren just saw you on urban gardeners live! Im growing in NW Ohio im loving and inspired by your biodome setup!
Great to connect with you. I had so much fun on the show today. I hope to connect with everyone again soon. I love sharing about th dome so please ask questions if you have any. Let me know what you’d like to see from my gardens because I am happy to share.
I have read that the Purple Pillar is sterile, so there's none of those little seedlings to weed each year, like with most Rose of Sharons. But what about the White Pillar? Is that sterile too? I don't find any mention on the Proven Winner website, but am wondering if anything that is a Proven Winner and in the Pillar series is sterile. Thank you.
I am very sure the white pillar rose of Sharon is sterile because I’ve never had any volunteers.
I think it’s pink Eden rose , absolutely divine ❤
Thank you for commenting. I will have to look into that variety. Either way I really enjoy this rose climber.
Wow. That biodome is impressive 😊
Thank you!
Very nice 😊
Thank you... great way to grow more!
Where can you buy it? URL
Hey! I am sorry It took me a few hours to respond here. I've been busy planting my dahlias and other cut flowers. I hope to share with you soon. I found a similar set up on Amazon at amzn.to/3yF7YbU . (my affiliate link) I think I may order one of these to add to my set up. The containers in this video are from Aldi / tray at bottom from Menards. They sell out quick at the Aldi stores. I LOVE MINE!!!! IT is doing great so far. It is so nice to have herbs at hand for cooking on the grill and kitchen dishes. Thank you for asking!
You missed it, didn't you?
Little kitty
He is actually HUGE!!! He weights about 22 lbs - all muscle. ❤
What! I didn’t know! He will still be cute.
❤
thank you... still a favorite! I have a new color to share for this year so stay tuned.
You must be one extremely efficient cat socializer!!! These cats are basically wet playdough when you pick them up - “Oh, I’m going? Alright, cool, whatever. I have claws but idk what they’re for honestly.” edit cus i just noticed at the end the way ollie TOASTED one of the kittens (maggie?) trying to get the jingle ball 😭 that was so funny but omg kitten got her eggs scrambled
They just love me!! They still do at 3 years old.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟I just want to say thank you again for posting this. This is so helpful to me. I went a little overboard and planted a hedge of these Purple Pillars on my side yard. This is in addition to a triangular cluster of three I did in my front yard. I bought the five gallons and they are about 2’ tall. This really helped my visualize how they will look when mature. I appreciate this so much! 💜
I was told Dark seeds that produce flowers I’m gonna keep trying
Be sure to share with me what happens!
Thank you for sharing ! I recently got my first indoor dwarf cavendish banana and its full of pups! I have been looking online for some info about propagating , and this was the best video, and absolutely lovely dome green house! :)
Glad I could help! I want to try wintering over one of these in my house next winter just to see how easy it is. Thank you for letting me know my video on dividing was useful.
Came over to check out this video on a recommendation from @yougrowrow You made that look super simple, thanks for sharing🪴
Cool beans! I haven’t put any asparagus out in the yard yet because I just don’t know where I wanna plant it.
Well… where ever you end up putting it be sure you are prepared to keep it there for at least 5 years.
The dome garden is looking mature and beautiful. The look healthy and growing. Love the dome.
Thank you!!! I didn't think anyone would see the video! I shared it live!!! I might start doing these live streams on my channel. THANK YOU for commenting.
Beautiful Kou. I'm laughing because fish are pretty much beggars with fins...lol We have a man here with fish that begs to have their backs petted and they all have names. Had I known this was possible when I had a goldfish as a child I would have been training my fish.
Ha! I always love when you comment - fun stories!!! I swear the goldfish and koi in this pond do know I am talking to them. Each one responds different, but all love the food!
Look at you!!! Starting asparagus from seed is a true commitment 😂 looking great this far. You Grow Girl!!
Thank you!!! It was super easy ... honestly surprised how these came up so quickly. Thank you for commenting.

This is SO helpful and greatly appreciated! Thank you 🙏🏻💜
awesome! I hope you try a few of the Pillar Rose of Sharon in your landscape this season. Please come back and tell me what color you end up growing. Happy Gardening - Bren 🏵
@@BrenHaas I just purchased 6, five gallon, and 5, quart- sized Purple Pillar Rose of Sharon so they should arrive soon. We have a nosy neighbor staring problem. We planted a row of American Pillar Arborvitaes about 1.5 years ago and I think these Purple Pillars will be a perfect compliment to plant in front of the American Pillar Arbs. Since the Purple Pillars they are deciduous, they won’t block much sun from the American Pillars during the winter. I have a feeling the Purple Pillars will grow faster than the Arbs. I contacted Proven Winners asking about fertilizing and pruning with the goal of maximum growth and this is what they said: It can be fertilized once in the springtime and if you have very, very poor soil perhaps once more in early summer. Use a granular fertilizer formulated for flowering shrubs. A rose fertilizer would work nicely! They don't require pruning, but if you'd like to help give it a bit of shape you can do so in early spring, every spring. Do you fertilize and/or prune? Based on what was via Proven Winners, I will not prune and I will definitely fertilize. Thank you SO MUCH for your help 🌱🌿☘️💚
Love mine
I love tne silicone bottoms on those trays. The bottom water really helps the root production too. Those look fabulous. I bought the larger one of those and then an off brand of six cell packs made for window sill growing. I havent used mine yet and am looking forward to it. Burpee has a winner with these. Thx for showing us how well they work.
Thank you for commenting... I went out and bought a few more today! LOL
I'll have to look into this variety. I've only ever seen the regular shaped ones here.
It was introduce a few years back by Spring Meadows - Proven Winners Shrubs. Here is one on amazon : amzn.to/3xRPLre
Just bought 6 of these on a whim not knowing the first thing about them. But the color looks interesting and I was hoping someone would describe what they taste like and you did that. This video gives me lots of anticipation when I get some ripe tomatoes of this variety.
Thank you for sharing this information. I have a few folks on my website blog post who are looking for this variety.
I bet it smells lovely. We used to sell it at nurseries I worked for in the early 90s. It wasn't long and sales of it were banned. It is definitely highly invasive in the Pacific NW. It may not be a problem where you live though. I'd recommend people double check.
I have found it locally and YES ... it will take over your garden and yard. Where I have it I can control it by mowing or weed trimming. Thanks for sharing your experience with me.
Do you know how these do in wind? Thank you for this video; very helpful. 😊🌟
I did a video to share how these do in the wind. ua-cam.com/video/c-dhhf4biYc/v-deo.html
